Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television host in America as well as an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides simple and easy to master methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell is also a part of several of the city's most prestigious establishments, learned about Italian food, its culture and traditions, and was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and eating in her early years. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her following her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication at Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she states. I just couldn't get enough enjoyment from the experience. Following graduation at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, Chef Burrell took a full year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. During her time in Italy she grew to truly be aware of the philosophy behind Italian culinary and cultural traditions that made a lasting impression in her point of view. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of kids who struggle. Additionally, she is an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate in which she has a mission to raise awareness for young diabetics. As a guest speaker and mentor she travels across the United States to discuss her passion for cooking as well as her career. Anne declared that she felt fortunate in that she could be able to share her passion for cooking with others.
